Boat Safari:

Float down the Niger River or the Mekrou River and benefit from a uninterrupted view of the riverbanks: you'll see hippos, cobs of buffon, crocodiles, as well as hundreds of rare species of birds. If you are lucky, perhaps you will see cheetahs and other large carnivores that come to quench their thirst and play in the muddy banks.

Two types of boats are at your disposal: a hand directed dugout, intimate and quiet, that can accommodate five people, or a motorized dugout, that can cover longer distances and can accommodate to 14 people and a guide.

The boat safaris can be organized from the Nigercar and Karey Kopto camps, the Mekrou River eco lodge and the Chutes de Koudou ecolodge; you can also book them through the park administration or a travel agency
