The Climate

of the soudanian type is characterited by two very constrasting seasons: the dry season that lasts from November to April and one raining season during european summer. The dry season usually starts with pleasant temperatures and become very hot in March.

Temps de pluie

The sub-sahelian climate is characterized by three large seasons : The cold season, from November to February, is signified by large daily temperature differences.The Harmattan blows during january, which is the coldest month in average variing the temperatures between 31,2°c and 10,7°c. The hot season spans from March to June. In May (nottest month) the temperature rise up to 44°c. Between June and September lies the humide season.


The climate in W transborder Park shows an increment of dryness from the south to the north, with an average rainfall between 900 and 400mm. The nothern part profits only from 4 month of rain and the south from 6.
